Shania Atkinso

Shania has had a passion for helping animals since she was little. From owning a variety of pets throughout her childhood (such as dogs, cats, reptiles, fish and rodents), she also takes her time to help wildlife that she comes across that are in need of assistance. Shania graduated from the Veterinary Assistant program at St. Lawrence College in Kingston. She worked for a year at a previous clinic with the job of reception and inventory and has now been at our clinic performing both Reception and Assistant duties for the past 3 years. She is always looking for new ways to improve upon the clinic and create a welcoming space for owners and their pets. She believes that not only should all pets be able to receive the necessary treatments needed for them but also ensuring that things are always properly explained to owners so that they can leave their appointments understanding what treatments their pets need and why. I her free time, Shania enjoys going camping, curling up with a nice book and spending time with her family, friends and above all else her two dogs Ellie and Gizmo.
